GEARWRENCH 114 Pc. SAE/Metric Ratcheting Tap and Die Set
Category: proto tools
The 114-piece GearWrench Tap and Die set (model 82812) is a complete set of SAE Standard and Metric taps and dies perfect for the master mechanic or machine shop with a wide variety of threading needs. Featuring 48 taps and 48 dies in any necessary size, these tools are designed from the ground up to bring GearWrench innovations to hard-working users, such as the 5-degree ratcheting arc of the T-handles and the patented Twist Lock guide system that secures any extension or cutting tool to the handle, producing straight threads on every cut.
The set includes a large ratcheting T-wrench (82800), a large locking tap adapter (82801), a large hex die adapter (82802), a medium ratcheting T-wrench (3881), a medium tap adapter (3883), a small tap adapter (3882), a medium die adapter (3884), male (82803) and female (82804) extension adapters, a sliding T for the adapters, a 4mm hex key, and 5 screw extractors. Additionally, it provides a metric thread gauge, an SAE thread gauge, 48 taps, and 48 dies.
The ratcheting T-wrench system offers a 5-degree ratcheting arc and a reversible lever, allowing for quick changes from forward to reverse to eliminate hand-over-hand turning. The patented Twist Lock Guide System reduces backwalk of the die guide and keeps dies centered while cutting threads, making it ideal for use in tight, confined areas.
Since launching the original patented 50-tooth ratcheting wrench, GearWrench has continuously led with breakthroughs in pass-through ratchets, sockets, screw/nut drivers, pliers, and specialty tools. Regardless of the industry, GearWrench has the tools to fit your needs, from the precise to the nearly indestructible. All GearWrench hand tools are warranted for life to be free of defects in material and workmanship.
The drive extension adapters provide greater access in confined areas when used with 3/8-inch drive extensions, while the auto-locking feature allows the tap adapters to be removed safely. The blow-molded carrying case with tilted tap holders ensures easy access and organized storage.
In summary, this comprehensive 114-piece GearWrench Tap and Die set is a must-have for the master mechanic or machine shop, featuring a complete set of SAE and metric taps and dies, a versatile ratcheting T-handle system, and innovative design elements that enhance performance and ease of use. GearWrench's commitment to quality and innovation is evident in this exceptional tool set.
